Problem solving – Solving diverse problems via digital technology

The framework comprises 12 dimensions of digital competency.

The “Solving problems via digital technology” dimension has two parts.

 

At the end of this training, you will be able to analyze a situation to produce a comprehensive, adequate description of a problem, then develop a satisfactory solution and implement that solution. You will be able to ask for or offer assistance for developing a collaborative solution, particularly in the context of digital communications. You will also be able to mobilize a variety of resources and solve a problem creatively. Lastly, you will be able to evaluate and adjust your approach as you go along.

Establishing effective working relationships with various stakeholders of a project (BS6M)

This course further develops the establishment of efficient work relations with a project's various team players in order to determine the gaps between current competencies and the required comptencies of a project manager, to establish cooperative relationships with both internal and external players, to learn to work as a team and develop negotiation skills.

 

The BS6M competency– Establishing effective working relationships with various stakeholders of a project is done in conjunction with the BS6N competency and it is strongly recommended to have already completed the BS6K competency to ensure a sound understanding of the concepts.

Performance management (BS6T)

This course further develops project performance management. In addition to measuring performance during the course of a project, you will learn how to analyze gaps, produce status and performance reports, proceed to corrective and preventive measures, manage performance in the context of multiprojects as well as project closure.

It is strongly recommended to have already completed the BS6K, BS6R and BS6S competencies to ensure a sound understanding of the concepts.

Preparing a project (BS6R)

The course "Preparing a project" is given at the start of the program which is why it is strongly recommended to have already completed the BS6K competency to ensure a sound understanding of the concepts. This course is linked to the BS6R competency – Preparing a project. Its objective is to define a product's development process, recognize the client's needs in terms of requirements, design solutions to meet those needs at an optimal cost and elaborate a project plan.

This program is geared to any professional working in an organization, a department or project, who is desirous to perfect his knowledge of project management and working toward obtaining a PMP®/CAPM® certification.

This course further develops project planning in order to define and design a project's activities and project deliverables through the use of an event calendar, estimating resources, the effort required and duration of activities, designing a multiproject calendar and implementing strategies regarding the information and communication system.

Supervising a project team (BS6P)

This course further develops project team supervision, notably to develop the necessary aptitudes to ensure good teach coaching, to lead and motivate one's team and detect as well as arbitrate in conflicts.

The BS6P competency– Supervising a project team is done in conjunction with the BS6M and BS6N competencies. It is strongly recommended to have already completed the BS6K, BS6M and BS6N competencies to ensure a sound understanding of the concepts.

Use Project Management software (BS6Q)

This course further develops the use of project management software in order to create a computerized project, manage resources and develop project planning, monitor and update computerized projects and monitor the costs of a computerized project.

The BS6Q competency – Use Project Management software puts into practice the lessons learned in certain competencies. It is strongly recommended to have already completed the    BS6K, BS6R, BS6S, BS6T and BS6U competencies to ensure a sound understanding of the concepts.
