In April 2019, the Ministère de l’Éducation issued a Digital Competency Framework to develop our digital skills. This framework was defined by a set of skills related to the confident, critical, and creative use of digital technology to achieve learning objectives. It consists of 12 dimensions.
By the end of this training, participants will be able to assess their critical thinking skills, since this is indispensable knowledge in the digital age, and then discover the limits and benefits of using digital technology for information. They will also learn how to recognize fake news and its sources, as well as develop strategies to verify information. They will be able to better recognize their own biases and roles, and then develop prevention strategies for their social circle.
Asynchronous training: Training modules are available online at any time for the duration of your access. A memory aid is provided for printing on the platform.

SUMMARY
Web giants collect far more information on us than any government in the world. They categorize us into echo chambers with people who mostly think like us. As traditional media continues to lose more ground, it is becoming essential to be vigilant and critical when using online content or tools. We must learn how to recognize fake news, identify falsification, and develop strategies to distinguish fact from fiction to decide whether to use or denounce the information, and thus avoid spreading rumours.
